The best time to relax is when you don't have time for it!
- She was getting so stressed about what her boss said to her that I told her to just take a chill pill – everything would be fine.
- My wife's working so hard, she needs to take a chill pill, otherwise she'll make herself ill.
Examples from the BBC "The English we speak"
In America, one can say, "Take a chill pill and be still." It can be used with very good friends who are agitated and overly excited children, but you certainly wouldn't want to say this to a boss or superior since it has a little bit of a pointed connotation, lol!
